Who we are

Shi Cheng Trading Limited (事成貿易有限公司) is a company incorporated in Hong Kong with its registered office at Flat D, 9/F, Jonsim Place, 228 Queen's Road East, Wanchai, Hong Kong. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" refer to that company. We are the data user responsible for personal data handled as described below, within the meaning of the Hong Kong Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance (Cap. 486).

Scope

This policy covers this website (shicheng.com.hk) and our general business correspondence. Individual software applications that we publish process data in ways specific to their function and each has its own privacy notice, which governs that application:

This website

This website is a static, informational site. It sets no cookies, runs no analytics or advertising scripts, and has no forms, logins or trackers. We do not build user profiles from visits to this site.

The site is served through Cloudflare, which processes limited technical information inherent to delivering any web page — such as your IP address, the requested URL, user agent string and timestamp — for the purposes of serving content, security and abuse prevention. This is handled by Cloudflare as our service provider under its own terms.

Correspondence

If you email us, we receive your email address, your name if you provide it, and the content of your message. We use this only to respond to and administer your enquiry, and to keep records required for business and accounting purposes. Our email is hosted on Google Workspace.

How we use personal data

• To respond to enquiries and provide support.
• To supply and administer products and services, and manage the related contractual relationship.
• To meet our legal, accounting, audit and regulatory obligations in Hong Kong.
• To protect the security and integrity of our systems.

Disclosure

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for third-party marketing. We disclose personal data only to service providers acting on our behalf (such as the hosting and email providers named above), to our professional advisers such as auditors and lawyers, and where disclosure is required by law or by a competent authority.

Retention

We keep personal data only for as long as it is needed for the purpose for which it was collected, and thereafter for as long as required by Hong Kong law — in particular, business records are retained for at least seven years as required under the Inland Revenue Ordinance.

Transfers

Our service providers may process data on servers outside Hong Kong. Where that occurs, we rely on those providers' contractual and technical safeguards to protect the data.

Security

We take practicable steps to protect personal data against unauthorised access, processing, erasure or loss, including transport encryption (HTTPS), access controls and encryption of stored credentials. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

This website is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children through it.

Your rights

Under the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance you have the right to ask whether we hold personal data about you, to request a copy of it, and to request correction of data that is inaccurate. You may also ask us to delete data we no longer need to retain. Send requests to [email protected]. We may need to verify your identity before acting, and we may charge a reasonable fee for a data access request as permitted by the Ordinance.

Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised, and the current version is always published at this address.
